The SalsaVancouver.net
Event Crew
Our events are run by volunteers from the salsa dance community. They run the events better than we could ourselves and without them the events would not be possible. As always, a BIG thank you to our event crew and everyone who has ever helped at any of our events.

SalsaVancouver.net was established in 2005 by Stephen and Jennifer Dancey as an impartial and independent web site to provide positive, inclusive support and promotion for all event organizers and instructors in Vancouver's salsa dance scene.

As well as promoting and supporting Vancouver's salsa dance community, we organize monthly and annual salsa dance events, including Vancouver's largest and most popular annual salsa event Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square, a series of free, weekly, salsa dances held outdoors in downtown Vancouver every summer.

In addition we organize events which strengthen community partnerships for the salsa dance community, including benefits for causes such as Haiti earthquake relief, and our annual Salsa For The Kids fundraisers for The KidSafe Project Society which provides support for at-risk, inner-city children and youth in East Vancouver.

SalsaVancouver.net
directly reaches Vancouver's salsa dancers. Regular site visitors include people in Vancouver's salsa dance community looking to keep informed of the latest news and events, as well as people new to salsa dancing searching online for information on salsa lessons and events in Vancouver. The site also attracts considerable interest from out-of-town and international visitors looking for information on salsa dancing in Vancouver.

SalsaVancouver.net
is an independent and impartial web site about Vancouver's salsa dance scene. It is not affiliated with any event organizer, promoter or dance instructor. Our aim is to provide positive, inclusive support for everyone in Vancouver's salsa dance community. We try to provide the most current and up-to-date coverage and information on events, performances, dance classes and workshops - for people new to salsa dancing, for out-of-town visitors, and for local salsa dance addicts.

We believe that the more we all support salsa dancing in Vancouver - all the events, dance instructors, bands, djs - then the stronger our Latin dance and music scene will be and Vancouver's reputation as a world-class salsa city.

Every effort has been taken to ensure the information presented here is accurate and current but if there are any inaccuracies or omissions, if you'd like to let us know about events or classes you're running, or if you have any comments, ideas, suggestions about the site, please email us.
