About SalsaVancouver.net's contributing writers and interviewers Tasleem Rajwani and Laureano Ralon Facchina:

Tasleem Rajwani

Tasleem has a BA in English Literature and Art History. During her six years of teaching, she encouraged her students to follow their dreams and believe in themselves. Finally taking her own advice, Tasleem is spending time on her passion for writing and love of dancing. She is grateful for the way in which dancing has strengthened many areas of her life.

As well as conducting interviews for SalsaVancouver.net, Tasleem has written a number of thought-provoking articles:

Salsa As Medicine:
Mind, Body and Soul

Everyone who loves dancing enjoys the positive, life-affirming power it has. We love how dancing makes us feel and the benefits it has on our health and well-being. In this article Tasleem shares with us just how much of a beneficial role salsa dancing has in her life.

The Healing Touch of Tango
The transformative power of dance: Peter Ferreira’s journey from contractor to tango dancer.

In Love and Dance
An article focusing on relationships in the social dance scene, initially recounting her own experiences, followed by a look at three dance couples and what makes their relationships work.
