We're taking a break for a couple weeks, but just wanted to let you know about two events we have coming up in September...

On Sunday, September 12, we're back at St James for a Sunday afternoon salsa social - our first time dancing on their newly refinished floor. Ronald Martinez will kick off the event at 4pm with a high-energy Latin Footwork lesson, one of the most fun dance classes in Vancouver.

And on Friday, September 17, we're having our monthly Salsa Bachata Night at the downtown library. Please note that it's on a Friday this month, not Saturday.

First dance on the new floor!

Back in May 2010 we held a fundraiser for St James to help towards the cost of having the floor refinished in their main hall. Thanks to Vancouver salsa dancers, who donated $1,070 at the event, St James was able to refinish the floor this summer. We're looking forward to dancing at St James again and our first dance on the new floor is going to be a casual Sunday afternoon social on September 12th.
 
 

Fun Latin Footwork lesson at 4pm

Ronald's Latin Footwork classes are one of the most fun dance classes in Vancouver. Mixing salsa, merengue, bachata and cha cha cha footwork techniques with upper body isolations, this class will connect your upper body with your feet while learning simple footwork patterns. No partner necessary, there is no partner dancing in this class.
